Testimony was given by AEG executive Paul Gongaware who had written a letter stating his concern for Michael’s welfare and mental state saying he would like him to have a mental evaluation. Even so in the days of Michael’s final rehearsal’s he seemed coherent and engaged with his surroundings. He also testified to the fact that Conrad Murray asked for $5 million
Attorney for AEG also testified about Conrad Murray asking for $5 million but there being an agreement for $150,000 a month. She also testified she wrote up the contract that was only valid once Michael Jackson, Conrad Murray and AEG had signed it. The contract was not signed by all parts and Conrad Murray was never paid for his time.
Security was also called to the stand along with MJ’s personal assistant. They say Dr. Murray called the assistant for help who called security for help. Security went up to the room and Conrad Murray was asking for help with CPR. At some point in time the children were in the room and one of the security guards took them out. Dr. Murray is not the person who called 911. There was no resuscitation equipment in the room. Dr. Murray did not want to declare MJ dead and said he felt a pulse and to take him to the hospital. MJ and his staff and family were at the hospital when MJ was declared dead.
So far in my personal opinion is this. Regardless if whether or not Conrad Murray injected the final lethal dose or not he had given him some Propofol and left the room minutes later even knowing the risks to MJ. Even if he only left the room to go to the restroom SOMEONE should have been in there to monitor what was going on.
The defense spent the day trying to point out MJ’s addiction to Demerol through visits to Dr. Klein.
I suspect as days go on the testimony will become even more interesting and informative. This is just the very beginning of the prosecution’s case and the information the defense has could prove to be very eye opening.
I have been pretty ill so keeping up with every detail proved difficult today but I hope to be feeling better tomorrow.
