I have been a fan of Roseanne since … 1988… more than half of my life. She’s sometimes abrasive, shocking and rude but that’s all in her charm. She says things most people would love to say but are to afraid to say it.
Imagine my joy when I discovered she had a new reality based TV show she calls Roseanne’s Nuts. I thought it could be one of two things: hilarious or a complete train wreck. Upon watching the show it’s a bit of both! You laugh, you cringe, you smile and for a moment you think you might just have to change the channel and then you laugh again. Rosanne’s Nuts premiered last Wednesday on Lifetime.
In the first episode you see Rosanne and her boyfriend of eight years Johnny Argent fighting a wild pig problem (and sometimes each other) on their farm and struggling with humane ways to get rid of said pigs. You meet her oldest son Jake who is surprisingly normal and see a bits here and there of other members of her family. From the looks of it we will see more of them in the future. Her family seems to function well in an entertainingly dysfunctional way.
Curse the anger we see in the second episode. Roseanne takes out some serious anger on some trees on her property. Cussing, screaming, chainsaw and all. We see Roseanne go to an energy healer/curse remover/crystal lady to remove the curse. Did it work? You will have to watch it to find out.
Last but not least my favorite guy on the show thus far is Greg or “hippy boy”. He lives in a tent on her property and keeps Rosanne grounded. He just makes me smile.
Tune in to watch Roseanne’s Nuts on Lifetime Wednesdays 9/8c. It’s a great way to celebrate Wednesday.
